Pianist Reinis Zariņš expresses his gratitude to Arvo Pärt by releasing a special album AREFA dedicated to the great composer’s 90th birthday. For the album opening event in the mansard of Latvian National museum of Literature and Music, Reinis will perform piano music by Pärt and his younger contemporaries Silvestrov, Vasks, Pelēcis and Selickis. The museum’s theme of procrastination’s role in the creative process will be addressed also in this recital.
